Build a Career Writing About the Games You Love

Mzansi PES is a growing football gaming publication covering PES gameplay, controls, tactics, PPSSPP and Android football games, with readers across South Africa, Nigeria, and beyond. Our goal is simple: to help players at every level improve their game through clear, honest, and tested guides.

We are a remote-friendly team, and we are always looking for talented writers, reviewers, and football gaming enthusiasts who want their work seen by thousands of real players every month.

Why Work With Us

Reach a real audience. Your work will be read by a large and active community of football gamers who come to Mzansi PES specifically to learn and improve.

Write about what you already play. You will not be covering topics you do not care about. Every assignment is connected to PES and football gaming.

Build your portfolio. Whether you want to grow your name in the gaming community, build a career in gaming journalism, or establish yourself as a content creator, Mzansi PES gives you published, credited work to point to.

Fair compensation. Consistent, quality contributors are paid for their work. Rates are discussed individually based on experience, output, and article type.

Room to grow. Many of our contributors started with a single article and grew into regular paid roles, section editors, and reviewers.

Current Openings

1. PES Gameplay Guide Writer

Freelance, part-time, remote.

What you will do:

Write clear, step-by-step how-to guides covering PES controls, skill moves, formations, game settings, and common gameplay problems. Test every method yourself on PPSSPP, Android, or console before writing about it. Follow our standard article structure: introduce the problem, explain why it happens, present several numbered methods, and close with a conclusion.

What we are looking for:

Real, hands-on experience with PES, in any version, including mobile, PPSSPP, console, or eFootball. The ability to write simple, correct English that a complete beginner can follow without confusion. Strong attention to detail, especially when describing button combinations, menu paths, and in-game settings. Most importantly, a commitment to original work, as every article is checked for plagiarism before publication.

2. Game Reviewer

Freelance, remote.

What you will do:

Write honest, detailed reviews of PES releases, patches, mods, and football mobile games. Every review must cover strengths, weaknesses, performance, and a clear final verdict with a rating. Reviews should also include a comparison section that places the game in context against other titles in the genre.

What we are looking for:

Strong opinions backed by real gameplay experience. The ability to judge a game fairly and explain your reasoning in a way readers can trust. Clean, confident writing with no filler and no hype.

3. Tactics and Tips Contributor

Volunteer role with a path to paid work, remote.

This is an opportunity for experienced PES players who are new to writing. You will contribute formation breakdowns, tactical analysis, and practical match tips under the guidance of our editorial team. Contributors who publish consistently and meet our quality standards are promoted into paid writing positions.

To apply, send a short sample of tactical advice or a formation breakdown, along with a brief introduction, to mzansipesltd@gmail.com

What We Expect From Every Contributor

Original content only. Plagiarism, paraphrased copying, and recycled articles from other websites are not accepted under any circumstances. Every submission is checked before publication.

Accurate, tested information. If a guide says a method works, it must actually work. Writers are expected to verify every step themselves before submitting.

Clean, safe content. Mzansi PES is a family-safe website. We do not publish adult content, offensive material, or anything that violates advertising policies. We also never publish links to pirated games, cracked software, or copyrighted ROMs of paid titles.

Respect for deadlines. Articles are assigned with clear deadlines and we expect contributors to communicate honestly about their availability.

How to Apply

Prepare your sample article based on the role you are applying for. In your email, tell us your name, where you are based, how long you have been playing PES, and why you want to write for Mzansi PES.

Send everything to mzansipesltd@gmail.com with the subject line “Application: [Role Name]”.

We review every application personally and reply to all serious applicants. If your sample meets our standards, we will contact you with a paid test assignment.
